ABOUT US . . . AND OUR DREAM
BluLotus Retreat
A couple of years ago, at the Montessori Foundation/International Montessori Council Conference, Andrew Kutt, founder and Executive Director of the Oneness-Family School, and Jonathan Wolff, Montessori consultant and leadership coach, were relaxing around the pool at the Hyatt Regency in Sarasota . . . enjoying the warm, tropical breezes and a gorgeous, late afternoon sunset.
We can’t recall who first had the idea – the vision of a retreat center for Montessorians - but the image of a beautiful, peace-filled natural setting, where teachers, school leaders, students, and families can relax, renew their spirits, reconnect with friends and colleagues, redefine their mission and goals, and create new paths of learning and service – well it really grabbed us!
That was the birth of the BluLotus Retreat Conclave.
We believe that when a group of well-intentioned Montessorians come together in a retreat-like setting, the potential for personal transformation, renewal and healing, the cultivation of powerful partnerships and innovative ideas become more likely.
We view the first BluLotus Retreat Conclave as the very beginning of a journey that will eventually take the form of a permanent retreat center for Montessori learners and leaders from around the world.
